how to frame

two options

(note: we sell the poster / you buy the frame separately)

Jan's home page shows the 16"X22" poster image with the white borders cropped. There are two good options for framing. I prefer option #1. This is a high quality print and it is quite striking framed like the original watercolor.

Option #1 --- frame like the original watercolor with a mat as shown in the low resolution image at the right. ===>>> (to see a better rendition of the true image, go back to Jan's Home Page.)

  • 4" white mat (blue white, not a yellow white) all around . mat 24"X30" outside and 16"X22" inside)
  • 24"X30" metal frame.
  • South Mountain Moulding (505) 842-8488 will ship frames. I recommend frosted silver (15-14) or light copper 15-07).

option #2 You can frame as a poster with the printed words Jan Hayes, Santa Fe" in tasteful font across the bottom of the poster.

The image of the painting is 16"X22"" while the entire poster size is 22"X30"

use the same color frames as above except, of course, the frame size is 22"X30"

either option needs:

€ single strength clear glass (do not use frosted glass, it mucks up the dark sky)

€ foam core backing to keep the poster flat in the frame. have it cut the same size as the frame.
